Control your GI. The glycemic index (GI) seems to be the most fashionable concept in nutritional diets to lose weight. The GI is a simple way to classify foods into high and low, depending on the rate at which carbohydrates are digested and converted into glucose in the blood. To lose weight, the intention is to take foods with low GI because they're digested slowly as nuts, whole grains and vegetables, avoiding the fods with high GI as sugar, honey, white bread, pasta or biscuits. Although diets trends come and go, the GI can help you spend Christmas without gaining weight, choose dishes for the holidays with low GI try to eat dried fruits instead of sweeties for example.
